AFRICAN DRUMS EXPO (KENYA)
The African Drums Expo (Kenya) was held on 25th Nov 2023 at the Soweto Social Hall from 1330 - 1700hrs & comprised drum performances, sessions on The Art of Drum making, the advancement of African Drum Music in the formal education setup, African Drums through the Player's perspective as well as an in depth look at the Luo drums (Ohangla) and rhythms, with a keen focus on Luo Sacred rhythms.
This successful debut of the African Drums Expo now paves the way for a sustained and vibrant cultural movement. Building on the positive momentum generated by the inaugural event, the future holds exciting possibilities for the continued celebration and exploration of African percussion traditions.

- All submissions will undergo a peer-review process to ensure academic rigor and relevance to the theme.
- Submission portal & deadline for the Abstracts will be communicated in due time.
Shortlisting
